Online reservation experts ResDiary are throwing a party to celebrate ten years of powering reservations to some of the world’s best restaurants. As part of the celebrations, they will be exclusively previewing ResDiary Now, a restaurant discovery app to find and reserve great venues at the touch of a button.
The system, which started in Glasgow in 2006 now powers reservations for over 6,000 restaurants across the globe, including Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck, cheffing wild-boy Michael O’Hare’s The Man Behind the Curtain and critically acclaimed The Honours. Downloading the app will let diners book straight into the best venues around at the tap of a button.
Designed to be simple and speedy to use, guests can simply open ResDiary Now and use the discovery feature to see nearby venues. The experience is personalised with diner profiles and the ability to favourite most visited-spots. The uncertainty of whether that top rated restaurant on the review site is really worth visiting or in fact a dingy kebab shop will be eliminated, as every restaurant on the app is reviewed by verified diners. This means guests get insider information on the best places to go.
Mike Conyers, CEO and founder of ResDiary said:
“Having spent the last ten years building the best reservation system with the smoothest user experience on the market, most people will have booked themselves into a great restaurant without realising they’ve used ResDiary software.
Now we have nearly 6,000 venues from cafes to Michelin starred restaurants onboard, and this momentous anniversary seems like the perfect time to preview the ResDiary Now app.
ResDiary Now will eliminate the hated uncertainty of finding good food when away from your familiar favourites, letting people spend their time having a good time, rather than searching the internet.”
The exclusive app preview and ‘Appy Birthday celebrations will take place at legendary Glasgow venue Oran Mor on 16th August, with some of the biggest influencers in hospitality attending. Guests can expect some excellent food on offer alongside tasty gin from Makar Glasgow Gin, wine tasting from the city’s Alexander Wines, local whisky from Adelphi Distilleries Ltd and craft beer samples with The ClansMen Brewery. There will be goodie bags and some great raffle prizes - including a helicopter flight all in aid raising vital funds on behalf of Scottish social care charity Quarriers.
