Online hospitality reservation system ResDiary is holding a party to celebrate 10 years of business, with an exclusive preview of their restaurant discovery app. The event will bring together restaurateurs and influencers in the hospitality industry, celebrating the global rise of the Glasgow-based software company.
The new app, ResDiary Now, allows diners to discover restaurants near their location and book in immediately. The app will give restaurants greater visibility to new customers and provide an easy-to-use reservation platform for guests. ResDiary operates on a flat-fee basis, meaning it will be free for diners to download and use and any bookings generated won’t cost the operator.
From humble beginnings in a Glasgow office with just four staff, ResDiary is now a global company boasting offices in London, Dublin, Auckland, Hong Kong and Dubai, amongst others. The system has nearly 6,000 venues using ResDiary to seat over eight million diners each month, with customers including world-famous The Fat Duck, cheffing wild boy, Michael O’Hare’s Man Behind the Curtain and Tom Kitchin’s venues all trusting ResDiary to power their reservations.
Mike Conyers, CEO and founder of ResDiary said:
“Ten years ago, the ultimate goal was to get 100 venues on board. Now we’ve just opened offices in Chicago to break into the American market and are in partnership with the Accor Group to power their table reservations globally.
Having spent the last decade creating the best reservation software on the market from the point of view of restaurateurs, we have nearly 6,000 venues from cafes to Michelin starred restaurants onboard, and this momentous anniversary seems like the perfect time to preview the ResDiary Now app.
The market is crying out for a discovery app where operators aren’t being ripped off by huge commission bills and guests have a simple, straightforward way to reserve with a couple of taps.”
The exclusive app preview and ‘Appy Birthday celebrations will take place at legendary Glasgow venue Oran Mor on 16th August, with some of the biggest influencers in hospitality attending. Guests can expect some excellent food on offer, alongside tasty gin from Makar Glasgow Gin, wine tasting from the city’s Alexander Wines, local whisky from Adelphi Distilleries Ltd and craft beer samples from The Clan Brewing Company. There will be goodie bags and some great raffle prizes - including a helicopter flight all in aid of raising vital funds on behalf of Scottish social care charity Quarriers
