About ResDiary

ResDiary provides strong competition to OpenTable and Bookatable in the UK, and is growing worldwide, with some 6,500 restaurants in 60 countries around the world using our system.

We are headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland, where our Support, Training, Administration, Marketing and Development teams are based. We have sales teams in Glasgow, London, Dublin, Singapore, Hong Kong and (shortly) Dubai.

About you

We seek an experienced person to join our team as a trainer. Ideally you will already have experience of using ResDiary in one or more restaurants – and if you have had exposure to staff training processes that will be of added value to us.

You’re self motivated and a self starter, receptive to ideas and challenges and are expected to have the interests of the restaurant operators placed above all else. You’re able to work with or without supervision as part of a wider team.

    Your Skill

  • Previous experience in using ResDiary preferred, but any hospitality industry professionals considered.
  • Proficiency in English required (additional fluent languages an advantage)
  • Full training given
  • Full, clean driving licence is essential, as on-site training is often requested by our customers
  • the desire to deliver outstanding customer service is a necessity.
  • Education

    Qualification to degree level in marketing, sales, business management or hospitality preferred.

    Junior Sales Executive - London

    Do you have hospitality sector experience? Are you looking for a change in career? Are you interested in a new start in sales?

    ResDiary are looking for a number of Junior Sales executives to join our energetic and self motivated team in London. The ideal candidate will have hospitality experience and the ability to connect with restaurateurs. Working out of our London base, you’ll be responsible for arranging introductory meetings and securing new business.  

    ResDiary is a leading online reservation system, working with some of the best restaurants in the world. We’re a growing company with over 6,500 restaurants in 60 countries using the system to power reservations. Our head office is based in Glasgow, with sales teams in London, Dublin, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai.

    This post carries a competitive basic salary, supplemented by a performance-based bonus scheme. The Company will contribute to a pension scheme for the successful candidate, following completion of a Probationary period.

    About you

    We are looking for a bright spark to join our customer Support Team on a full time basis. Based in our Glasgow head office, you will be on the front line between us and our customers. You will have a diverse workload, dealing with busy restaurant customers from all over the UK. You will need a passion for problem solving, excellent communication and time management skills. A good understanding of a range of restaurant service styles and a passion for using ResDiary will be hugely beneficial to your application.

    Your Skills

    • Previous experience in a Support role or similar  preferred (hospitality industry professionals considered).
    • Proficiency in English required written and spoken (additional fluent languages an advantage).
    • Good working knowledge of computing skills.

    Job Title: Sales Executive - Scandinavian Region

    We are looking for a Sales Executive to promote ResDiary to restaurant operators in Scandinavia. Successful candidates will have worked in the restaurant sector for at least three years and will be native speakers of any of the Danish, Norwegian, Swedish or Finnish languages.

    ResDiary provides strong competition to OpenTable and Bookatable in the UK, and is growing worldwide, with some 5,935 restaurants in 59 countries around the world using our system.

    We are Headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland, where our Administration, Marketing and development teams are based. We have sales teams in Glasgow, London, Dublin and Chicago.

    Applicants should have strong selling experience and should ideally have experience of working in the restaurant sector (Front-of-House).

    The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and highly disciplined in following process. Working from our base in Glasgow or London, and referencing existing customers in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, you will be responsible for securing new customers through the Scandinavian region, supported by our Customer Service and Marketing teams here in the UK.

    The ability to connect to restaurant owners and to senior managers in the restaurant corporations is important, so this opportunity will suit a person who has previously held positions of responsibility, either in restaurants or in organisations serving the restaurant sector.

    Full training in using, supporting and selling the ResDiary system will be provided as part of the induction process, which may take place in Glasgow, Scotland.

    Applicants should have a full, clean, driving license and should possess all necessary authorisations to visit and, if necessary, work for extended periods in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

    We shall expect you to be able to secure a growing client base of restaurants in Hong Kong, providing support and account management advice as necessary. As part of your Sales, Support and Account Management role, it may be necessary to visit both potential and current clients. Reporting to the HK sales manager, you will be responsible for client acquisition, client retention and also assisting customers to make full use of the ResDiary functionality.
