Who & what are Avios?

  • Avios is part of the International Airlines Group and is the travel reward currency for airlines including British Airways.
  • Avios members can turn everyday spending into flights, hotel stays, upgrades, days out and more.
  • Avios points can be earned through partners such as American Express, Tesco, Shell, Avis, British Airways, Lloyds Bank and now ResDiary.
  • Aer Lingus will be launching in December 2016.

Avios & ResDiary partnership

ResDiary will power Avios and BA’s new restaurant dining offer whereby users will be able to earn points at participating ResDiary establishments. Restaurants will be listed on (under construction) which will have incoming traffic from:

What type of restaurants can be listed?

All ResDiary restaurants will be invited to participate in the Avios programme and we shall be extending the programme globally to restaurants in all major destination cities served by BA and Aer Lingus, hopefully with other AIG airlines to follow.

What does it cost?

  • There is an advertising/listing fee of £25 + VAT (or Euro equivalent) per calendar month payable by the restaurant to ResDiary to appear on Restaurant Circle. This fee is set by BA/Avios.
  • Each booking made to your restaurant will be worth 250 Avios points, which will be awarded to the diner after the meal has been consumed.
  • A transaction charge of £3+VAT (or Euro equivalent) per booking will apply for the reward of Avios points. This will be invoiced retrospectively on a monthly basis to the restaurant.
  • Avios can provide statistics to show their members’ average spend is 14% higher than non-Avios customers.

When does it launch?

Restaurant Circle will launch on the December 2016, with marketing activity initially focusing on Ireland to coincide with Aer Lingus joining the Avios Travel Reward Programme. For the UK territory a full marketing campaign will begin January 2017, by both Avios and ResDiary.

Your venue will be enabled on Restaurant Circle prior to the scheduled marketing campaign, enabling you to attract and reward diners with 250 Avios for every booking made in your venue. £3+VAT (Or Euro equivalent) per booking will apply.

Terms and Conditions

The programme follows a monthly rolling contract from start date. After the initial one month term, the Restaurant may terminate this programme at any time by providing ResDiary with one months notice of termination using the account management options or by submitting a request by email to

A monthly statement will be created by ResDiary each calendar month which will be sent to participating restaurants detailing the number of bookings that the programme has generated. This information will be freely available to ResDiary customers at any time during the period via their own diary reports. The amount payable will be added to the payments taken using the restaurants' existing Direct Debit mandate held by ResDiary. For those which currently follow an invoice process for their ResDiary services, an invoice for these bookings will be generated. Payment will be required within thirty (30) days after the date of receipt of the relevant invoice.

In order to be part of the programme, it is requested that restaurants keep their online availability open at least 60 min prior to visit time for the Avios channel.
